We have a fantastic working culture and you will manage the Procurement Team and supply chain process to facilitate timely supply of parts and materials to the Production Team to ensure availability when required for production and to procure at the best rates possible.
- Processing of purchase orders for parts and materials from suppliers.
- Ad hoc purchasing as required.
- Review of unfulfilled purchase orders, liaising with suppliers on backorders and providing updates to the production team with expected lead times.
- Management and coordination of purchasing department including parts and materials receipting into workshops.
- Manage supplier relationships including:
- Evaluate and assess suppliers for reliability, sourcing and pricing.
- Negotiate and manage the entire purchase process.
- Manage returns and claims
- Optimise parts and materials stock levels to support production and limit excessive stock holdings.
- Management of equipment maintenance and records.
- Previous experience in the vehicle industry will be highly regarded.
