This global real estate investment business is rapidly growing its Australian operations as a result of the outstanding opportunities presented by the property market in this area of the world. The culture is fast-paced, growth-orientated, and engaging, and you will get the opportunity to be exposed to highly experienced senior managers with strong backgrounds in investments and development.
Based in a high performing team, this is a newly created role intended to manage the procurement and purchasing across the APAC division of the global group.
Duties include:
- Developing direct spend sourcing strategies
- Driving cost saving initiatives via supplier negotiations
- Oversight of the end-to-end purchasing process
- Managing relationships with suppliers around the region
- Review of supplier performance on a regular basis
- Implement and enforce procurement policies
- Supplier, contract, and supply chain risk management
- Management of RFP processes
You will have 7+ years direct procurement experience, ideally from a real estate/construction background and have previously held an APAC role. Excellent communication skills, ability to demonstrate a value add approach in prior roles including cost effective outcomes and strategic thinking, strong problem solving skills, and effective time management abilities are all key.
