Reporting to the Group Manager of Business Services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how the company develops and delivers solutions to improve supply chain performance across the group.
You will be empowered to make a real difference across our business. Key to your success will be an ability to manage and negotiate with a range of suppliers and influence multiple internal stakeholders through change, providing Monadelphous with the best value in procured goods and services. This will be achieved by a procurement service delivery team recognised throughout the business as responsive, effective, and trusted sources of advice, supporting the delivery of outcomes to external customers.
Exhibiting a propensity to seek innovative and technology-based solutions and challenge the status quo, you will drive the development and implementation of the group's procurement strategy and manage the group procurement function. You will provide advice to embed effective procurement services during the evaluation, integration and set-up of new businesses and projects within Australia and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
All aspects of the group procurement function including:
Leading the development and execution of the group procurement strategy, having regard to our business outlook, key cost drivers, industry trends and best practice
Develop, implement, and manage the Category Management function in collaboration with relevant business partners and stakeholders
Lead the engagement, evaluation, drafting and negotiation of group supply contracts
Ensure compliance through effective contract management, supplier onboarding and adherence to our internal processes and procedures
Support transactional purchasing to ensure goods are sourced, ordered, and delivered accurately and efficiently
Overall responsibility for logistics management to ensure timely processing and delivery of orders
Identifying opportunities to deliver cost savings/cost avoidance
Performance management and reporting, including development of annual budgets and delivering financial outcomes in line with expectations and strategic goals
Leading a high-performing Procurement team focusing on the provision of support, development, and delivery to stakeholders
What you will bring
Monadelphous recognises the value added by encouraging diversity of thought, therefore a variety of backgrounds and experiences will be considered. It is critical, however, that you have:
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Science, Engineering or similar
Experience with end-to-end procurement processes, category management, competitive price analysis, and supplier management
At least five years management experience, with the ability to lead, develop and mentor a team
Demonstrated procurement and business improvement experience
Sound knowledge of financial analysis and management
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships, communicate effectively to a wide group of stakeholders and the skills to adapt to achieve business requirements.
