They are currently looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join their Perth-based team, in a full-time capacity.
As a Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement and supply chain operations of our client's dynamic oil and gas company. You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of goods and services while maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency.
About you and your skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Supply Chain Management, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- Prior exposure to the oil and gas industry, demonstrating a clear understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements.
- Proficiency in SAP and other procurement systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Knowledge of logistics, scheduling, and requisition processes.
- Experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and establish supplier relationships.
- Utilise your knowledge of SAP and other procurement systems to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
- Execute requisition raising and tracking, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry, including industry-specific regulations and best practices.
- Manage logistics and scheduling to optimise the supply chain and minimise disruptions.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, always seeking cost-effective solutions.
- Perform risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance procurement processes.
- Competitive salary $550 - $650 per day inclusive of super
