SGESCO-MAX are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team on a full-time basis and perform the role of Procurement, Stores and Logistics Officer.
If you're someone who has five (3) plus years' experience as a Purchasing Officer, and looking for a challenging role with growth potential, this job might be right for you.
As our Procurement Officer, you will look after and control all things to do with our inventory. This will include activities such as (but not limited to):
- Reviewing Inventory Requirements
- Generating Purchase Orders
- Following Up Open Orders
- Receipting Goods
- Conducting Stock Takes
You'll build relationships with our suppliers and ensure that the business has a continuity of supply to our manufacturing team to allow our products to be built.
You'll need to be a people person and have good communication skills - being able to talk to people and not just send emails. You'll also need to have common-sense, be organised and be good at maths.
You'll also have the opportunity to help minimise the costs of procurement and learn how to negotiate. You'll be spending the business's money, so we’ll help you understand how to maximise potential.
The business has recently implemented a new ERP system that allows a level of automation when planning what to procure - so you'll be using the latest software & tools to help with your role + grow your skills.

- Lead all activities in Procurement and Logistics.
- Ensure continuity of supply to Manufacturing.
- Maintain Supplier Relationships and Supply Agreements
- Ensure pricing on Procured Goods and Services is Competitive.
- Ensure Supplier Delivery Performance is maintained and exceeds target.
- Maintain accurate ERP and Physical stock levels.
- Minimum of tertiary qualifications in Logistics and Purchasing / Procurement OR Supply Chain Management OR minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
- In-depth knowledge of and demonstrated experience in customer service principles and practices.
- Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office applications and experience in ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results and promote a continuous improvement culture.
