Job Description
- Product Procurement
- Sourcing and procuring Chinese and Japanese products that align with the company’s requirements.
- Maintaining close relationship with suppliers.
- Vendor Negotiation and Management
- Negotiating prices, delivery terms, and other relevant term with suppliers.
- Regularly assessing supplier performance, addressing potential issues, and seeking improvement opportunities.
- Market Analysis
- Continuously monitoring trends, pricing and new product developments in the Chinese and Japanese snack and beverage markets.
- Conducting market analysis to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Inventory Management
- Monitoring inventory levels, forecasting demand fluctuations, and ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Collaborating closely with warehouse manager to prevent stockouts.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, pricing, and supplier information
- Directly report to director; generating regular reports on procurement metrics for management review
Profile
- Previous experience in a Procurement or Purchasing role.
- Effectively negotiate terms, conditions, and prices with suppliers to secure favourable agreements.
- The ability to communicate clearly with both internal teams and external suppliers.
- Industry and supply chain management knowledge.
- Ability to stay abreast of market dynamics and emerging consumer preferences.
