About the Role
The Procurement Specialist role, reporting to our Management Accountant will form an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional looking for a change and has the ability to individually manage the end to end procurement space.
This role is essential to our continued growth plans with a heavy focus on ensuring our supplier relationships are maintained and contractual arrangements are implemented and managed, along with:
- Creating the framework and tender process from which to select and contract suppliers.
- Preparation and Management of Tender Processes
- A focus on achieving Commercial Excellence whilst controlling costs.
- Ensure balance when selecting suppliers between TFS requirements and those of our customers.
- Develop, execute and manage end to end category strategies
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers
- Perform market analysis, strategic sourcing, negotiation and execution of contracts with new and existing suppliers
- Provide sound commercial advice to internal stakeholders in line with category strategies, procurement policies and processes
- Manage commercial, contractual, operational and ethical risks arising from contracts and supplier engagements and oversee governance of supplier performance
- Develop a culture of innovation and continuous improvement with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify, engage and manage import opportunities to create and expand TFS product range
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline (Procurement, MBA, etc)
- Minimum 2 years experience in a senior procurement role managing the entire procurement space individually or in a small team
- Strong background in strategic sourcing, category management and contract management
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability in effectively manage multiple concurrent sourcing projects
- Experience in developing and successfully implementing robust category plans and sourcing strategies, and delivering, ongoing financial and non-financial benefits for the business
