Based in Unanderra, you will become a key part of the operations team and contribute to driving efficiency, quality and profitability of the business in the procurement and inventory space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement procurement strategies to enhance sourcing processes, negotiate favourable contracts, and build strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Manage inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels, minimise stockouts, and reduce carrying costs.
- Leverage data analytics and inventory management software to evaluate performance metrics and uncover areas for improvement.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure procurement activities align with production needs.
- Collaborate with finance teams to synchronise procurement, inventory control, and engineering activities with financial goals.
- Perform financial analysis, including cost-benefit assessments, budgeting, and forecasting, to inform decision-making.
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement and inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools, inventory management software, and financial modelling.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with a talent for cross-functional collaboration and relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.
- Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is a plus.
