We are seeking a procurement extraordinaire for a maternity cover contract commencing in March 2024. The role of Category Lead - Indirect is responsible for the management of the company's spend/strategic sourcing activities and must understand the requirements of the organisation across a variety of dimensions.
The role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast in a hybrid working arrangement and will be ending in October 2024.

Key Responsibilities:
- Total national spend analyses based on historical information through the supply market (local, overseas).
- Identification of new suppliers and management of new and existing suppliers.
- Development of category sourcing strategies (where to buy considering tender requirements, demand and supply situation, while minimizing risk and costs).
- Negotiation with suppliers (products, service levels, prices, liabilities/warranties, geographical coverage, etc.).
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience in strategic category management, contract management, supplier management and business-related disciplines.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, business, commerce or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
- High level understanding of the legal and contractual framework for supply chain operations.
- Experience in the use of SAP and Coupa is essential.
- Experience using Six Sigma & lean manufacturing is desirable.
