Position: Procurement Specialist
Location: Sydney or Adelaide
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent.
About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, you will participate in the development and implementation of ATCO’s renewable energy projects, and the spectrum of procurement packages includes land access, design and engineering, materials, specialist electrical equipment, construction, and more. Success in this role hinges on your ability to be agile, thrive in a non-structured environment, and demonstrate your skills to influence and bring closure to various tasks and projects.
Champion procurement with strategic sourcing, tender processes, and contract execution.
Develop market intelligence, create a preferred supplier network, and monitor supply chain vulnerabilities.
Optimise value, advise on sourcing issues, and enhance supplier management strategies.
Cultivate relationships, foster communication, and resolve disputes at all levels.
Proactively engage with suppliers for performance assessment and improvement opportunities
Lead contract management, conduct reviews, monitor supplier performance, and control spending.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop contingency plans, and address supply chain disruptions.
What we are looking for:
Robust understanding and supply chain management experience in the construction, utilities or energy infrastructure industries, including knowledge of supply chain dynamics, market trends, regulatory requirements, and awareness of potential risks and vulnerabilities in the supply chain.
Proven experience and sound knowledge and understanding of procurement, best practices, and methodologies.
Demonstrated expertise in leading supplier relationships, including assessing supplier capabilities, conducting performance evaluations, and encouraging long-term partnerships.
Comprehend legal and commercial terms and the ability to negotiate favourable terms and conditions is valuable.
Proficiency in contract management practices, including reviewing contracts, monitoring compliance, and managing contract modifications.
A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field, is beneficial but not crucial.
