About the role
The Procurement Specialist is an important role within our growing Supply Chain group, supporting the business in achieving sustainable value in spend and commercially beneficial results aligned to our core value chain. You will be partnering with key internal clients to deliver excellence in procurement, maintain probity principles, and drive continuous improvement with contemporary methodologies.
You will be facilitating end-to-end tendering activities across diverse subject and group areas to achieve optimised commercial outcomes in an efficient manner, in support of both category procurements and ad-hoc sourcing requirements. This dynamic role provides exposure to varied procurements (construction, digital solutions, consultancies, capital goods, etc.), high interaction with stakeholders, and opportunity to impart strategic and technical guidance to ensure market approaches are sound and effective.
The Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in developing effective tenders, facilitates efficient market engagement processes, and ensures outcomes meet business requirements.
This role can be based at any of our sites in Tasmania, and will require some intrastate travel.

About you
Our preferred candidate will have five years of demonstrated experience in procurement management, contracts management or a similar role, and a good understanding of contemporary procurement practices.
You will have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills, along with strong communication, both written and verbal.
The successful candidate will have a commitment to the highest standards of probity and integrity in procurement practices.
