Seeking an experienced State Government Procurement Support Officer located South of the River.

A busy State Government department is seeking an experienced Procurement Support Officer to commence at the end of February on a full-time basis for an initial period of 6 months.
Your new role
As a Procurement Support Officer, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Creating and administering Purchase Orders and Goods Received Advice
- Maintaining purchasing information & order forms
- Supporting the Contract Administration function of the Strategic Procurement Branch by preparing and monitoring written communication associated with contract extensions, variations and recalls.
- Providing a first point of contact for all telephone and email enquiries to the Branch
- Reviewing contracts, draft memos/letters, and generating reports, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations
- All administrative and secretariat support required by the Director Business Services and Strategic Procurement Branch
- Contract management support to the Strategic Procurement Branch contract portfolio
- Collaborating in evaluation panels and conduct negotiations, maintaining positive relationships
What you'll need to succeed
- Ability to contribute to the achievement of project and team outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse workload in a timely manner
- A current Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
