Our Life Insurance client a leading distributor of direct Insurance products in the Australian insurance market is seeking an actuary, preferably with minimum 5 years in the insurance industry, specifically with experience in pricing, valuations, or capital in commercial products. The role will be based in Western Sydney. This role also offers fantastic employee benefits including flexi days, flexible working and health and wellbeing initiatives.
About The Role
- Manage and conduct analytical pricing to achieve commercial objectives
- Innovative and enjoys collaborating with others
- Review, test, and challenge wholesale pricing provided by insurance partners
- Monitor and report on competitive positions and impacts on portfolio position
- Collaborate with internal product teams on product development.
- Engage with external partners and actuaries to discuss pricing methods and assumptions
- Managing an actuarial analyst, ensuring high-quality output and guiding their career development
About You
- Tertiary qualification in a technical discipline (Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Statistics)
- FIAA qualification
- Experience working in Life Insurance would be ideal, but would consider other industries such as general insurance
- Strong experience in data-driven coding (such as SQL, SAS or Python).
- People management experience ideal
