SalaryOur Life Insurance client a leading distributor of direct Insurance products in the Australian insurance market is seeking an actuary, preferably with minimum 5 years in the insurance industry, specifically with experience in pricing, valuations, or capital in commercial products. - Manage and conduct analytical pricing to achieve commercial objectives
- Innovative and enjoys collaborating with others
- Review, test, and challenge wholesale pricing provided by insurance partners
- Monitor and report on competitive positions and impacts on portfolio position
- Collaborate with internal product teams on product development.
- Engage with external partners and actuaries to discuss pricing methods and assumptions
- Managing an actuarial analyst, ensuring high-quality output and guiding their career development
- Tertiary qualification in a technical discipline (Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Statistics)
- FIAA qualification
- Experience working in Life Insurance would be ideal, but would consider other industries such as general insurance
- Strong experience in data-driven coding (such as SQL, SAS or Python)
- People management experience ideal
