It's our responsibility to enable product and feature distribution to our customers by integrating with the broader ANZx capabilities and Rest of Bank systems. Our technology teams cover Core Banking Systems, Zafin cloud native SaaS and GCP hosted business services.

What will your day look like

Reporting to the Domain Lead, the Product Area Lead for Cross Product Platform is key to the ANZx strategic technical leadership team, responsible for setting the vision and strategy for enterprise-wide simplification of product and technology encompassing:

1. Vision and strategy
2. Technical leadership of Product Delivery
3. Manage downstream systems integration

Vision & Strategy
• Define and execute the technical vision and strategic roadmap for Engineering and Product teams, simplifying our technology and product landscape
• Enterprise-wide collaboration across multiple ANZx customer value streams, and core banking systems teams to ensure successful integration in to downstream systems
• Ensuring ANZx products and solutions provide a positive impact, and enriched customer experience, are scalable to meet the needs of the business and are ready for strategic migrations and integrations
• Successfully manage & grow external strategic partnerships

Product Delivery & Technical Leadership
• Lead and support a team of 80+, including 9 direct reports, spread across different countries.
• Technical product ownership for business-critical ANZ Plus product features and services, across multiple value streams and integration partners

What will you bring? To be successful in this role, you will ideally be:

• Experienced in working with Mainframe/Core banking systems with the required understanding of risk to downstream integration
• Highly consultative and collaborative, effective in influencing enterprise-wide stakeholders to an agreed approach, which may conflict with their own strategies and roadmaps
• Someone who thrives in solving complex problems using strong analytical, and design thinking skills
• Skilled in bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritising incoming requests, to ensure timely delivery
• A proficient and engaging leader, experienced in leading a global workforce
• Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritisation and planning
• From a Software Engineering background with hands-on coding experience building and leading high performing engineering teams
