The Product Manager at Reckon is entrusted with defining, maintaining, and communicating the vision for our products. This pivotal role involves engaging with key stakeholders, industry experts, user groups, and clients to understand market needs and ensure alignment with Reckon's broader strategic objectives.
Armed with this vision, you will oversee the day-to-day management of product development pipelines. Additionally, you'll collaborate with support, sales, marketing, and management to deliver exceptional products and services. Product Managers at Reckon are empowered to challenge norms, driving innovation and advocating for impactful changes within our teams and the broader development sphere.
Product Management Responsibilities
- Define, maintain, and communicate the product vision.
- Drive all aspects of the product lifecycle, including research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements gathering, roadmap development, and product launch.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
- Develop comprehensive product strategy documents encompassing business cases, use cases, technical requirements, revenue forecasts, and ROI.
- Analyse market data to inform sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams to guide product development, quality assurance, and release processes, ensuring organisational success.
- Develop product positioning and messaging that sets Reckon apart within primary market segments.
Ideally you’ll have
- 4 -5 years of Product Management Experience
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in market research, competitor analysis, and data-driven decision-making to inform product strategy and enhancements.
- Thinker: Ability to envision long-term product roadmaps aligned with business goals and market trends.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, marketing, sales, and support teams to drive product success across the organisation.
- Methodologies: Experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and Lean principles, facilitating efficient and adaptive product development processes.
- Communication Skills: Capable of articulating complex ideas and strategies to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Focus: A deep understanding of customer needs and behaviours, utilising insights to prioritise features and enhancements that deliver value.
- Skills: Adept at identifying challenges, proposing solutions, and driving consensus among stakeholders to achieve product goals.
- Mindset: Proactively seeks opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in product offerings and development practices.
- Acumen: Comfortable discussing technical aspects with engineering teams and leveraging technical knowledge to inform product decisions.
