Mr Fothergill’s is a market-leading manufacturer and wholesaler of gardening products for home gardeners.
Our products include packet seeds, bulbs, propagation accessories, all-in-one grow kits, garden gifts and garden tools.
Our retail customers include national retailers such as Bunnings and thousands of independent garden retailers nationwide. We are located in Windsor (North-West Sydney) and have a team of approx. Fifty people – including the office, warehouse and field sales team.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Product Marketing Assistant to support our Product Management team in driving the success of our product line. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations, help coordinate product development activities, and ensure effective communication across departments. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in product management and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
This role is part-time on a six month contract.
The responsibilities of the role would include:
- Assisting Product Managers with daily administrative tasks and maintaining project documentation.
- Help track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, and finance) to gather information and assist in the smooth execution of product plans.
- Gather, compile, and analyse data related to product performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Aid in the creation and maintenance of product roadmaps, specifications, and user stories.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for product improvements and new features.
- Assist in analysing competitor products and strategies to provide actionable insights.
- Assist in resolving customer issues and queries in collaboration with the customer service team.
- Help create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and training materials.
- Work with product managers to ensure clear and consistent communication of product updates and changes to internal and external stakeholders.

What you will need to apply:
- Degree qualification preferred but not essential; relevant experience in a marketing / sales environment or related field.
- Previous experience in a support role within product management, marketing or a related field is a plus.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) .
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Enthusiasm for product development processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
