As a Product Owner
The Product Owner is responsible for defining the vision for continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to our customer vision and the development of our product offering and business capabilities for the assigned areas of the Finance Division and is the conduit between these areas and Solution Delivery. This role also partners with other business stakeholders working closely to prioritise, plan and deliver the required outcomes, through the following solution lifecycle stages; Inception and Prioritisation, Design and Development, Quality Assurance (Testing), Support the line Manager in Deployment and Training, Review and Evaluation.

The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development of ideas, schedules, resource estimations against scope and plan for opportunities to improve customer facing and business processes using detailed investigation, customer and market research and impact analysis, that present compelling costs and benefits for prioritisation by the leadership team,ensuringanalysisofbeforeandafter results, including customer feedback where appropriate, developing customer and stakeholder engagement plans
  • Define the product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities that align to strategic goals, acting as owner of the list of backlog items, assessing value, develop cases, and prioritise stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value items based on the overall strategy and business objectives. Play an active role in mitigating impediments
  • Represent the voice of the n and development. Liaise and negotiate with the relevant business stakeholders for both inputs (requirement approval, prioritisation) and outputs (UAT, deployment) to the Solution Delivery Team.
  • Negotiate with the Solution Delivery Team on feature acceptance criteria whilst providing feedback and enhancement suggestions, meeting quality assurance
  • Promote the deployment and training of teams for changes so that the business understands how to use new solutions. This includes training managers on new solutions to ensure that they are adequately trained and continuing to be a knowledge resource for the solution post-deployment, ensuring process maps, work instructions, user guides, training material and other references relating to system or process improvements are developed and maintained by managers as required by ISO standards and SG Fleet standards
  • Review new features and business process changes to evaluate the success of expected customer and business benefits by obtaining customer feedback on product design and delivery to influence the product roadmap, assisting with completing any post implementation reviews.
  • Track, analyse and report status in areas of responsibility to support effective delivery management with Project Finance Director
Essential
  • Strong customer management skills Strong stakeholder experience at all levels Experience in managing backlogs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of simplifying complex business processes
  • Experience of using appropriate analytical tools, techniques and methodologies Ability to prioritise and deliver against challenging deadlines
  • Practical experience of process improvement techniques Excellent presentation and reporting writing skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, as well as handle difficult and sensitive situations by making sound and independent judgements.
Desirable
  • Financial Services / Fleet Management industry experience Experience in the relevant specific Finance areas
  • Experience in conceptual system design and structured business analysis including process and data modelling
  • Experience/Certification in Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology Experience in Design Thinking
  • Understanding of customer experience principles
  • Knowledge or experience of securitisation
