An exciting opportunity for a Product Support Advisor to join the Karratha team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a FIFO position on a 8:6 roster. The role will be to support Citic Pacific Mines' HHP product which consists of 4 x Cat 6090 shovels, 1 x Cat RH340B Shovel, 1 x Cat RH170 excavator and 7 x Cat SKF Drill Rigs. The mine site is located at Cape Preston approximately 90kms south of Karratha.
This role is suited to someone who is highly skilled and customer focused, ideally you would be a technician who enjoys a challenge and is capable operating autonomously whilst delivering world class results.
Responsibilities:
Provide application support and maintenance advice for all equipment powered by Cummins engines
Act as a subject matter expert and provide on-the-job training for the principal's maintenance personnel.
Assist the Principal in the supervision of equipment servicing
Assist with parts interpretations and resolving of parts sourcing issues
Ensure minimum downtime on all Cummins powered machinery on-site
Conduct regular inspections on Cummins engines, proactively report on early fault detection and schedule work with maintenance planners
Drive product improvement initiatives
Provide condition reports
Follow the Principal's service schedules
Preferred experience:
2 years post trade experience
2 years experience working on Cummins engines
Personal commitment to HSE and leading an interdependent safety culture
Diesel trade qualification
HHP experience
Strong influencer and interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills
Onsite mining experience
Problem solver and ability to work autonomously
Movex competency (Preferred but not essential)
