About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for driven and committed Production and Warehouse Manager to join the Cascade team in our Brisbane office, you will work with a great team of people who are truly dedicated to success. Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with Manufacturing and the Human Resouces and Safety division, this dynamic leader will be responsible for managing direct reports to ensure that the production teams are aligned to the company goals and the production priorities for each day.
Key duties of the role:
- Ensuring that Cascade Australia’s Workplace Health and Safety obligations are being met
- Contributing to the production of operating plans, budgets and capital expenditure proposals and recommend improvements
- Managing the operational budget for the Production and stores areas; including investigation, quoting, requesting, planning, and commissioning of CAPEX projects
- Overseeing the creating, planning, and monitoring of continuous improvement projects for each department
- Meeting set targets and KPI’s for the Production and Maintenance Departments
- Managing the plant, equipment; and building maintenance along with other team members via the approved portal
- Working with section supervisors to plan and prioritise the production schedule to meet the customer’s expectation
- Ensuring production schedules are met without compromising product quality, safety or standard processes
- Managing and developing direct reports and teams to allow for internal growth within the business
- Providing leadership to the manufacturing team by communicating targets, developing a collaborative working atmosphere, and delivering performance to meet or exceed targets
- Owning, managing and driving the Training Management Plan on a day-to-day basis, helping the Operations Manager to ensure coverage of skills, currency of licenses, and competency of operators
- Assist in the training of team members in all aspects of production, safety and quality control
About you:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or other technical discipline, or demonstrated experience in similar role
- Experience of working with a MRP system – preferably JDE
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, report information / findings, develop recommendations, and implement process changes, as needed
- Proficiency in communication (oral and written, interpersonal skills, analytical problem solving, mature decision-making skills)
- Experience of managing, motivating, and developing teams
