An exciting opportunity to join Oroton in a time of growth and continued evolution. Working alongside talented individuals, this role forms key support to the Production Team, responsible for product specifications and quality standards across the range, as well as supporting the technical product development process with general admin and day-to-day coordination with international suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience working within a design and or production team. Accessories experience would give you a great advantage, and apparel experience is also highly regarded. Our Production Team is a team of 6, some of the best in the industry with a keen focus on nurturing talent.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage sample approvals for quality, design specifications, compliance and functionality
- Raise and track purchase orders, allocate barcodes, approve ticketing artwork
- Manage and coordinate sample sales and assist with stocktake
- Monitor and report on quality of products, ensuring our standards for construction and workmanship are always met
- Assist with maintaining the company critical path between key stakeholders to ensure on time delivery
- Liaise with internal staff and maintain external supplier relationships
The Person
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Prior work experience in a retail/fashion environment with strong awareness of product cycles and merchandise planning is highly desirable
- A tertiary qualification in fashion or textiles would be a solid foundation to take on this role
- Exceptional time management and attention to detail
- Strong communication (written & verbal) and relationship management skills
- Good excel & reporting skills, ability to learn new systems and technology
- Experience with ERP systems would be highly advantageous
