We supply black soldier fly eggs and neonates to businesses building their own insect-based waste and protein solutions.
Position Overview:
The Production Assistant supports the cultivation, cleaning, collection, feeding and raising of all life stages of the insect, including eggs and all general farming operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in farm operations and a focus on excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities will include:
- Seeding of broodstock and production tubs
- Loading and unloading of breeding aviaries
- Cleaning breeding rooms
- Egg collection and packaging
- Tub washing
About You:
We are looking for a proven operator who is flexible and collaborative and takes pride in their work. You will need to be passionate about working within a culture of continuous improvement, requiring you to be hands-on and enjoy a dynamic workplace environment.
- Experience in a production, farming or manufacturing environment
- Able to work indoors and outdoors, in all kinds of weather
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Forklift license a plus!
