Our client is one of Australia's premier children's fashion brands and is stocked worldwide, they are well established and have a strong following both here and overseas.
The Production Coordinator will work closely with the design and production team across all categories, from initial concept to salesman samples, and through to bulk production. You will require good attention to detail, technical knowledge about fabrications and embellishment and experience with communicating with offshore suppliers.
Tasks : (not limited to)
• Set-up Master Colour Palettes for new season ranges and send to suppliers
• Communicate lab dip, strike-off and approval comments to off-shore suppliers based on feedback from the designer,
• Update Production Schedules with approval dates for each approved/rejected item to monitor supplier progression
• Create Tech Pack cover sheet pages, inputting all style information for new styles
• Create Schedules/Range Index with new season styles
• Assist with the Salesman Sample Process: Tracking sample/submission status with suppliers based on discussions in weekly WIP meetings, counting
• Managing the receipting of salesman samples, marking off samples, assisting in showroom set up, packing salesman samples to send to agents, booking parcels to send to agents
• Assist in preparing samples for photoshoots: Assist in receipting samples, packing samples and accessories to send to location shoots, book parcels with the courier to meet deadlines
• Assist in monitoring deliveries, and update the Delivery Schedule with weekly updates from the freight forwarder
• Chase shipment sample packing photos from all suppliers, check and approve bulk packing, carton markings and update schedules
• Check off Salesman sample invoices for qty and costs
• Cross check packing lists for correct qty and size information
• Raise and issue purchase orders to suppliers
• Liaise with suppliers daily to ensure samples and deliveries are on track
• Assist the Production Manager to create freight schedules/consolidate bulk goods for FCL shipment
The successful candidate will need :
• Ability to prioritise and multitask
• Extremely organised and excellent attention to detail
• Data entry experience with strong analysis and reporting skills
• Microsoft software knowledge is a must with excel intermediate to advanced skill preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
• Able to work autonomously and multi-task whilst demonstrating ability to meet assigned targets and deadlines consistently
• Good knowledge and working understanding of fabric and garment construction
