Located in the Beef Capital of Australia, the JBS Rockhampton processing facility produces a range of pasture fed and grain fed beef products, from commodity to premium. Our organic beef brand, Acres Organic and Right to Roam, our verified grass-fed beef brand are both packed exclusively at Rockhampton. The plant employs approximately 500 team members with a current processing capacity of 700 head of beef cattle per day, operating 6 days/week.
About the Role
JBS Rockhampton is currently recruiting a passionate Production Control Recoveries Officer to join our team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, the Production Control Recoveries Officer plays a vital support role to the Plant, providing various yield reports and analysis.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Focussing on production yields including:
- Preparation of daily yield reports;
- Yield testing and opportunities;
- Daily yield results analysis, summary and feedback to departments;
- Daily real time report summary (at major breaks) for both departments;
- Daily piece reconciliation (both departments); and
- Conducting weekly yield meetings with relevant team members.
- New product documentation and implementation
- Liaising with onsite customer sales
- Undertaking internal auditing processes
- Monitoring of product specifications
- Daily communication with the Northern Corporate Yield Manager
- Ad hoc reports as required by the Leadership team
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound computer skills (MS Office)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous experience within a similar plant operational department advantageous
