Established in 1990, CarChem Products manufacture a wide range of premium cleaning products, selling into a variety of markets. These include vehicle dealerships groups, RV dealerships, transport companies, truck & trailer spares suppliers, agriculture and farming suppliers, cleaning product wholesalers and distributors, commercial cleaners, small business and vehicle enthusiasts.
Our products are produced at our premises located in the inner south-west suburb of Somerton Park, Adelaide. We have both a shop front and an online shopping platform for those clients further afield. We offer a delivery service to customers that covers the wider metropolitan area, while also servicing regional areas of SA, Victoria and NSW through our wholesalers and distribution partners.

About the Role
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Production Coordinator to join the team. Your daily duties would involve but not be limited to:
- Development of tools and planning systems
- Use of computer systems to plan, schedule and coordinate manufacturing activities and control stock levels and optimize manufacturing techniques
- Supplier negotiations and selection of raw materials
- Ordering raw materials required for manufacturing
- Managing raw material and inventory stock levels
- Manufacture of products in accordance with established formulations and specifications, ensuring products are made to the highest possible standards
- Managing shop hand/delivery staff
- Ordering re-sell stock items
- Freight & logistics bookings
- Use of Xero accounting system, serving customers and transacting sales
- Coordination of delivery activities
- Weekly reporting of manufacturing activities, stock levels, workplace safety
About You
Ideally, this role would suit a self-starter, hands on and motivated individual. Who enjoys a challenge, has an eye for detail and seeks continuous improvement in everything we do as a company.
Along with your strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar role you'll have/be:
- Production/manufacturing experience, with experience in both production and quality control, particularly in the area of JIT manufacturing
- Experience in quality assurance processes and techniques
- Experience within the chemical manufacturing industry, food and/or beverage sector would be preferred
- Full Australian working rights or be a permanent resident
- Comfortable with handling chemicals and use of PPE
- An effective communicator and organized, able to both instruct and report on a variety of levels
- Customer facing/customer service experience would be well regarded
- Experience in the management of workplace safety, policy and workplace accident prevention
- Whilst there are material handling tools/equipment to assist, the candidate must be able to lift and maneuver weights of up to 25 - 30kg.
- Forklift license and operational experience would be ideal
- Car license
