About the Role

Flinders University’s Marketing and Student Recruitment team is evolving in 2024, with an exciting new opening for a vibrant Events and Production Coordinator. In this pivotal role you will effectively coordinate University events and activations with a specific focus on service delivery for the new state-of-the-art City Campus at Festival Plaza.

The Events and Production Coordinator will deliver highly effective coordination of both physical and digital events, from initial enquiry right through to planning, pre-production and delivery of the event. You will also be accountable for:

• Directly receiving event enquiries and providing effective and appropriate response and/or advice to clients within required designated timeframes.
• Sourcing venues, suppliers and event equipment within budget and using well developed communication strategies to maintain effective communication with all stakeholders during the event planning phase.
• Providing informed support in the development of event proposals, event plans and supporting documentation such as: run sheets, guest lists, invitations, dignitary protocols and speech notes/scripts.

Please note that this position will require occasional weekend and evening work.

About You

The Events and Production Coordinator will be highly skilled in the planning and delivery of technical aspects of physical and digital events, as well as your understanding of audio and visual event requirements. You will be a talented individual, with proficient organisation and time management skills to meet critical deadlines with limited supervision.

The successful Events and Production Coordinator will also demonstrate:

• Completion of a degree in a relevant area, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
• Experience in the effective and appropriate coordination of events with a specific focus on service delivery for multiple clients, and how to achieve required objectives within scope and budget.
• Experience with directly receiving event enquiries and providing effective and appropriate responses to clients.
• Experience in sourcing venues, suppliers, and event equipment within budget and which will support the delivery of exceptional outcomes.
