Duties and Responsibilities

As a Production Coordinator at Steel Dale Industries, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production department.

  • Preparing job cards and workshop packages for the production department.
  • Maintaining system folders and registers according to SDI requirements and standards.
  • Developing and monitoring necessary QA protocols and ITPs on a project basis.
  • Coordinating various activities such as testing, FAT, inspection, release, and dispatch.
  • Compiling records and evidence, including sign-offs, photos, etc., as needed.
  • Preparing and submitting MDRs on a project-wise basis.
  • Organizing logistics and preparing delivery dockets.
  • Monitoring and taking action on consumables register, WPQR, welder quals registers, equipment maintenance register, instrument calibration register, tools register, and personal protective equipment register on a regular basis.
  • Assisting in internal and external audits as required.
  • Protecting the IP rights and confidentiality of all information within the business operation.
  • Adhering to company ethics and policies.
  • Performing any other related duties as assigned.
  • Participating in training as directed by management.



Requirements

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • 5 years of experience in steel/pipe fabrication projects, with at least 2 years in a leading role within an industrial production/fabrication environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work with general computer software.
  • Proficiency in MS Projects, Excel, and willingness to learn the company's ERP system.
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
  • Ability to read, interpret drawings, and accurately communicate, instruct, and clarify with the staff.
  • Understanding of measurements, tolerances, basic geometry as per specifications/standards.
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing processes (steel fabrication, welding, painting, etc.) methods and techniques.
  • Effective communication with the team to achieve targets successfully.
  • High level of creativity, self-confidence, time management skills, and being a good team player.
