About the opportunity
The Production Engineering Assistant will spend 80-90% of the time behind a computer to create maintenance job plans and the remainder of time will be spent walking around the plant to verify the information and in meetings.
Responsibilities
- Creation of maintenance job packs (mainly for elastomer and hose replacements)
- Set-up of Planned Maintenance in SAP
- Database administration duties including the transfer of information into the engineering database
- Undertake a variety of administration tasks to support the engineering team
- Verification of information in the plant may need to climb ladder occasionally
- Working in a clean area, small risk of exposure to plasma
Skills and Experience
- Must have a Bachelor Degree in Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or working towards
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential, especially Excel
- The ability to mark-up Adobe PDF files is highly regarded
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Displays a ‘can do’ attitude, willing to learn and take on new tasks as required
- Works well in a team environment
- Will have a (mechanical) engineering background
