Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing process at our facility. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the production team, comprising Production Supervisors, Team leaders and machine operators. The Production Manager will be responsible for developing production plans and optimizing production processes & resources to ensure highest-quality components and assembly manufacture, from our sheet metal, machining, Finishing and 3D Printing operations.
The main focus for the role is maintaining a production process focused upon highest Quality and best availability to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the production team of approx. 30 full time staff to meet production goals
- Develop MRP, project plans, schedules and budget estimates for manufacturing projects
- Design and implement efficient production processes and workflows
- Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and repairs in liaison with Equipment Manufacturer service groups
- Engage in regular inventory checks and quality control inspections
- Assist in Maintaining a clean , tidy and safe Workplace on the shop floor
- Provide training and mentorship to team members
- Track and report on key production metrics to senior management
- Work as a key part of the Sevaan Manufacturing Management team to shape future policy & strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Diploma or equivalent in Operations Management, Production Management , Manufacturing Engineering field
- Several years of experience in a Production Supervisory or Production Management role from within the manufacturing sector , -preferably with a knowledge of Sheet metal and/or Machining, equipment and Manufacturing methods/processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with proven leadership abilities and the skills to manage people from a variety of diverse backgrounds and abilities
