About the role
We are seeking a passionate Production Manager with a focus on quality to drive the operational excellence of our production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. An interest in diving or experience working with Diving Systems is highly desirable.
Working in a brand new, world-class facility, this position is accountable for the management, planning and safe delivery of all Diving Systems maintenance and repair to meet contractual schedule and client requirements.
Primary duties include:
- Promote and lead a strong safety culture, ensuring all employees are aware of safety requirements, standards and practices.
- Proactively plan and manage the delivery of diving system maintenance and repair by having a clear understanding of the contract elements and how the support teams are performing against the contract.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, understanding their operational needs and ensuring our services align with their objectives.
- Continuously review and enhance service delivery processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and innovation. Implement best practices to optimize service quality and client satisfaction.
- Identify potential risks in service delivery and implement proactive measures to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols and regulations.
- Provide effective team leadership to ensure that all personnel are suitably trained, competent and current to perform their duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline; post-graduate qualifications desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in production management, preferably in service delivery and/or relationship management environment.
- Experience with Defence contracts (highly desirable)
- Excellent strategic planning and leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to lead teams.
- Demonstrable skills and understanding of Program Management.
- Operationally sound however with a keen understanding of strategic planning.
