The Role
The purpose of this role is to manage the entire production function ensuring that production, quality and HACCP processes are in place and complied with.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and control all hazards
- Ensure strict compliance with the company HACCP plan
- Achieve agreed production business plans, production quality standards, operational budgets and performance targets
- Manage the day to day production resources to meet customer needs
- Purchase and manage daily production inventory
- Manage and assist in the development of the culture to be consistent with corporate values
- Ensure the agreed company policies and processes are in place and adhered to
- Maintain key relationships internally and externally
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
- Detailed and technical working knowledge of the production process
- Thorough knowledge of HACCP principles and practices
- A working knowledge of continuous improvement methods and processes
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and negotiation skills
- Well-developed logical and lateral thinking skills with a capacity for innovation
- Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people to initiate and deliver change
- Previous management experience of 40+ staff would be advantageous
- Experience in managing rosters for production staff
- Intermediate PC skills
