What you will be doing
- Managing budgets, costs and performance indicators for the logistics function.
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation in our logistics processes and systems.
- Developing and implementing logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitoring and analyzing logistics data to identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrating visible HSE leadership and championing a positive HSE culture.
- Providing leadership and direction to the branch operational teams.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Ensuring a safety and customer first ethos is maintained at all times.
- Working collaboratively with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure the integrity of inventory management and control.
- Ensuring inventory and stock levels are strategically planned and ordered and identifying and resolving any logistics and inventory issues.
- Leading project work in relation to the development and implementation of new plant and processes.
- Maintaining and managing relationships with major customers, depots and distributors.
- Tertiary qualifications preferably in chemical or mechanical engineering will be highly regarded.
- Qualification in Business Administration or Logistics would be an added advantage.
- Proven production/logistics management and leadership experience - preferably within chemical, industrial or technical operations.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing supplier relationships.
- Ability to engage with people at all levels.
- A passion for delivering outstanding results.
