About the role…
The Production Manager must have proven skills and experience in a Production Management role, being able to confidently lead and motivate a team to maximise productivity and maintain a high level of quality control whilst keeping costs managed. Caring about safety and encouraging a positive environment for our people is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Factory Manager to coordinate and schedule manufacturing projects, allocating work to the factory team and ensuring quality.
- Encourage urgency and efficiency to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Managing & Monitoring Design Changes to Joinery projects effectively as required.
- Assist with Management, mentoring, and coaching the joinery team.
- Commit to OH&S practices and standards.
- Assist with operations and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Develop strategies to streamline operations and focus on reducing waste and improving productivity.
- Booking of 3rd Party Freight.
- Scheduling Dispatch.
About you:
- Preferred experience in the cabinet-making or shopfitting industry and 5+ years.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in manufacturing is beneficial, however, not essential.
- Ability to read and understand project plans and drawings.
- Strong leadership abilities to positively engage and influence the team.
- Commitment to delivering quality products with outstanding attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in continuous improvement and innovation, enjoy a challenge.
- Excellent time management and prioritising skills, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Forklift and MR licenses are an advantage.
