Based in Southport, we are looking for a Production / Operations Manager for a bespoke furniture manufacturer, who specialises in cafe and restaurant furniture for projects across Australia. This is a multi-faceted role and would suit a take-charge type person, with a background in furniture building or shopfitting. The company has recently adopted Monday.com as their project management tool, and you will run this project within the factory, so someone who enjoys bringing technology into workflow would be great. This is an autonomous role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the production process, ensuring timely delivery of furniture products while adhering to company standards and specifications.
- Work in conjunction with the Sales Department to coordinate projects to fit within new restaurant/cafe openings.
- Troubleshoot client issues
- Develop and implement production schedules and workflows to optimize efficiency and maximize output.
- Coordinate with various departments, including design, procurement, and quality control, to ensure seamless production operations.
- Supervise and motivate production staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to maintain a productive and engaged workforce.
- Monitor production costs and budgetary constraints, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Maintain inventory levels and procurement schedules to meet production demands and minimize stock shortages.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality assurance measures to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Analyse production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Successful candidates will possess:
- Experience in the Furniture Manufacturing industry.

The role is paying $100K + super
The hours are flexible to the demands of the role, but the production floor starts at 6 am, so would suit an early morning person, that wants time in the afternoons for work/life balance.
There is a company vehicle to use during work hours to get to sites if required.
