Your ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a variety of key stakeholders across the BHP business will be integral to your success.Key Responsibilities in this role will include:
- Evaluating safety and operational performance and driving change to maximise safety, cost and volume performance through processes, equipment and technology initiatives.
- Implementing corrective actions to resolve the root cause of complex operational risks/deficiencies and prevent re-occurrence.
- Implementing improvements that guide teams to focus on activities that add value.
- Considering and explaining the risk implications of different alternatives and using this to make effective and informed decisions.
- Embedding BOS principles across the team.
- Conducting regular leader-led improvement reviews/assessments to support teams to capture, track and implement improvement ideas for all routine activities on site.
- Partnering with relevant operational and functional teams (e.g. HSE, Risk) to develop and govern site standards/procedures for pre- and post-shift safety rhythms and routines.
- Demonstrated experienced in a similar level role - ideally 2 years as a Superintendent.
- Degree qualified in a related discipline is preferable however not essential
