The role
As a Production Supervisor or a Cabinet Maker with years of experience managing a small team, you will be responsible for managing day to day operations Including performance management, training, problem solving, assign tasks, monitor orders and Improve on CI processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 4 employees in the warehouse and the factory.
- Motivate, guide and mentor the team members to achieve goals.
- Promote and demonstrate effective communication and positive culture.
- Oversee day to day operations of the warehouse and the factory. This includes overall performance management; training and development; identifying, analysing and resolving work problems.
- Implement continuous improvement processes and develop and implement innovative strategies to streamline factory operations such as lean management.
- Develop production schedules based on the information provided by the Installation Coordination team, assign duties to employees and monitor orders.
- Provide hands-on support as required.
- Operate any of the machines as needed.
- 3 years Factory or Production management experience preferred with commercial shop fitting or cabinet making essential.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of working with compact and structural laminate.
- Some CNC machining experience would be advantageous.
- Able to use Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem solving skills in addressing production and equipment challenges.
- Outstanding time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Be willing and able to work in the factory when required.
- Proficient in the usage of beam saws; edge banders; spindles moulders etc
