We are now seeking the expertise and experience of a Production Team Leader as we expand production and distribution of our innovative technology. Ideally, you will have experience in all aspects of manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. This role is based in Perth.
Tasks and duties
- Operate and maintain automated production equipment.
- Fabricate and package detectORE™ products to meet in-house production targets.
- Work unsupervised in a small production setting.
- Supervise production tasks conducted by casual staff.
- Operate forklifts, loading and unloading of goods onto trucks and into warehouse.
- Maintain and foster a safety-first culture.
- Leading and supporting the Production Team and managing all daily tasks within the production warehouse.
- Building and promoting strong internal cross-functional working relationships with related departments, including Warehouse & Logistics, Quality and Maintenance teams.
- Regular reporting on the condition of production equipment used.
- Performing and achieving the related functions, objectives and targets set out by Production and Distribution Manager.
- Develop, maintain, update, and implement plans and strategies to improve production operations and targets.
- Meeting or exceeding all standards required by the quality manual and customer requirements, including the maintenance of records as required.
- Ensuring orders (internal and external) are produced, processed, and dispatched in accordance with agreed service levels.
- Ensure all program initiatives align with the company’s core values and culture.
Skills and Experience
- Perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
- 2 + years’ experience in manufacturing, warehousing or production environment.
- Previous work in a chemical or laboratory setting viewed favourably
- Forklift license (or willing ness to obtain)
- +1 year forklift experience viewed favourably.
- Highly organised and can manage allocated workload
- Able to problem solve with high levels of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, innovative and results driven.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- Good written and oral communication skills
