The Role
The Production Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of operators in a safe, environmentally responsible, productive and efficient manner whilst adhering to the Albemarle Core Values. The Production Team Leader is also responsible for creating an inspiring, diverse and inclusive team environment with an open communication culture by setting clear team goals and delegation of tasks.
It is a residential role, you will work full time at our Kemerton site, and will be required to work on operational shift roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Motivate your team to work safely, and respectfully of themselves and others.
- Identify opportunities to coach and reward individuals to create an inclusive culture that values and encourages diversity of thought and promotes team over individual.
- Set expectations, provide feedback, and hold people accountable for their actions and responsibilities in meeting those expectations.
- Ensure your team’s compliance to instructions, policies, procedures and operating conditions and limits.
- Provide clear work instruction to all responsible team members to ensure key performance and safety objectives are met.
- Ensure that all team members (including contractors) are trained and competent for the tasks undertaken, with the support of the Training Team.
- Listen to team member’s feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
- Work with all key stakeholders to ensure you and your team are prepared for start-up, shut down and continual operation of the Plant.
- Identify potential risks to performance. Lead your team in resolving issues where possible. Escalate to the relevant stakeholders to minimise impact when necessary.
- Develop and implement solutions to improve safety, overall plant reliability, performance and output.
