Expressions of Interest for a PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER required to join the AUSPAN Canning Vale and Gnowangerup team.
About The Role:
The Production Team Leader will be responsible for planning and organising Production schedules, assessing project and resource requirements. Estimating and negotiating budgets and timescales with clients and management. Ensuring health and safety requirements/regulations are met. Determining quality and control standards. Overall ensuring that the manufacturing processes run smooth and effective.
The Main Responsibilities Would Include:
- Establish and facilitate departmental procedures which in turn enhance the production and efficiency of the department, while supporting safety policies and procedures.
- Implement, oversee and control the production schedule.
- Oversee and review time and attendance of team members, as well as vacation approvals.
- Interview and hire Production Team members in conjunction with Operation Director and/or People and Culture Manager approval to support operation needs.
- Analyse production, quality control and budgetary outcome of projects.
- Oversee, monitor, and direct coordination and maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and warehouse.
- Practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and non-cluttered work environment.
- Work closely with the Production 2IC on OHS issues within the work environment.
About You – Skills and Experience
- Qualified in Fabrication, practicing for 8+ years.
- Proven experience in managing production manufacturing team.
- Valid driver’s license and current Forklift license.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance Obligations and OHS compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop relationships and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- High level attention to detail.
- Proficiency in time management and prioritisation of tasks.

The Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to pass a functional pre-employ medical including drug and alcohol screen.
• Hold a current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
• Provide a National Police Clearance obtained within the last 6 months.
• Be health, safety and environmentally conscious
• Display a collaborative teamwork style with well-honed conflict resolution skills
• The ability to make practical decisions under pressure.
