We are currently seeking a Program Coordinator- Property Care to join our team on a full-time basis. The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing client contract co-ordination, leadership, supervision and guidance to the Property Care team which consists of Gardening Supervisors, Gardening Assistants and at times, volunteers. Our Property Care team is responsible for providing timely, consistent, and specialised gardening and Property Care services for our client contracts ensuring work is performed according to contract requirements. 

Reporting to the General Manager- Employment Services, our Program Coordinator liaises with the client on contractual matters ensuring all KPI's are met, quality, WHS and competence standards are maintained.  The position provides leadership to Gardening Supervisors who work with people with disability within our Property Care Team located in Northam. 

About the Role

You will assist our Property Care employees with their employment within the team. This involves encouraging independence building, helping people with a disability develop their skills in gardening and maintenance of lawns.

The role will be based in Northam, but you will be required to travel in the surrounding area.

About You

The successful candidate will be/have:

  • Facilitating regular meetings to ensure contractual, operational and WHS governance is managed.
  • Able to liaise with key stakeholders and feeding back to the General Manager were there are opportunities or areas of concern.
  • Overseeing day to day management of Property Care operations ensuring smooth running of each contract
  • Providing continuous, consistent, and effective supervision and management of Gardening supervisors
  • Providing exemplary, empowering, and encouraging leadership to the entire Property Care team
  • Overseeing the maintenance of all machinery, equipment and vehicles ensuring all operational assets are effectively managed and utilised
  • Effectively manage workforce shortages and ensuring workflows are adjusted accordingly.
  • Ensuring all Property Care staff work within their scope of role and competency, whilst ensuring all staff have completed standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
  • Role modelling positive behaviours ensuring the highest ethical and professional standards are maintained.
  • Identifying opportunities for supported work through partnerships with other organisations
  • Participating in financial management through contributing to budgets and other financial indicators ensuring financial viability is achieved.
  • Approving staff timesheets and effectively managing rosters and leave. 
  • Able to provide support to people with disability support
  • Capable of providing direct support to individuals through assistance, support, coaching, mentoring, and training in gardening and lawn maintenance.
  • Able to establish and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and be respectful of privacy.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Working With Children Check.
  • National Police Clearance

It is recommended if you currently hold or are willing to acquire the following units of competencies:

  • Certificate in Horticulture (desirable)
  • AHCCHM304 -Transport and Store Chemicals. (mandatory)
  • AHCPMG301 - Control Weeds (mandatory)
  • AHCCHM307 - Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases (mandatory)

For all mandatory units, the successful candidate must be prepared to acquire the statements of attainment including other requirements to effectively perform the role.
