As the Program Director you will be a thought leader on project management advising and directing the delivery of significant strategic projects across the Department.
The Program Director provides strategic policy advice, research, analysis, ministerial advice and across-organisation advice to the Office of the Director General on matters relating to projects in the Department. This includes policy, legislation, strategy development, issue management and across government coordination of matters pertinent to the Department at State and Commonwealth levels.
This is a permanent, full-time position. Applications to this process may also be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the date of employing authority approval of the Selection Report.
Located in Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail station; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.
To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:
- Extensive demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of strategic programs, projects and initiatives in line with legislation, including contract management and financial risk management.
- Relevant degree, extensive experience with contemporary project management methodologies and demonstrated capability to direct large scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the application of Government procurement standards and practices.
- Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Leading Others as outlined below.
