Murray Bridge base.The RoleThe Fathers and Families Support service provides a flexible outreach service by using soft entry points to engage with families. This includes vulnerable and disadvantaged families, those experiencing social isolation and a range of personal and economic barriers to community participation. Through a variety of different mediums including educational, recreational and physical activities. The program builds resilience, life skills and wellbeing of children; increases positive parenting skills; strengthens family relationships; facilitates support to families at risk; builds community capacity and improves community connection.The Support Worker will work collaboratively with the Program Family Practitioner and Program Manager to help meet program objectives and support the Family Practitioner to deliver group work activities including planning and assisting to facilitating events as needed.This position is funded on a fixed term opportunity until 30 June 2026.See attached position description for full details.What you need to bringEssential
- Degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum one year experience in a similar role
- Excellent time management skills
- High level computer literacy
- Safe Environments for Children and Young People
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Experience in establishing or assisting in programs and building connections with a broad range of stakeholders and services
- Experience in working with men
- Experience using Penelope electronic client management system
