Program Manager

Our client, a large high profile Government Department is looking for a Program Manager for an initial contract term through 30 June 2025, with potential extensions of 12 months followed by an additional 12 months.

In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Planning, designing, and proactive monitoring of the program, with an emphasis on resolving issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Defining governance structures and ensuring quality assurance and overall program integrity, aligning with internal consistency and external standards.
• Managing the program's budget, tracking expenses against benefits, and allocating resources across projects.
• Overseeing contributions from third parties and managing communications with all stakeholders.
• Handling project dependencies, interfaces, and risk management to ensure the program's success.
• Collaborating with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and project managers to develop project scopes, resources, and plans.
• Coordinating project teams for optimal return on investment and delegating tasks across projects.
• Identifying needs for cross-functional teams and external vendors, managing project budgets, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Working with other Program Managers to assess risks and opportunities across departmental projects and reporting on program progress to managers and stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and experiences:

• Effective leadership skills, strong stakeholder management skills and good knowledge of the digital market.
• Over five years of experience in program management.
• In-depth knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programs.
• Proficiency in program and project management methodologies such as MSP and PRINCE2.
• Extensive knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation.
• Experience in proposal writing.
• Advanced knowledge of digital marketing.
• Baseline security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Desirable criteria

• Strong proficiency in Salesforce CRM software.
