Our aim is to apply data science and high-performance computing to provide innovative solutions to the real-world problems of government, industry, and academia. The Institute supports a growing network of SMEs, external organisations, government departments, researchers, co-operative research centres, and not-for-profits across various sectors such as, but not limited to, health sciences, manufacturing, transport, art and culture, astronomy, agriculture, and aquaculture. At present the Institute would typically contribute to 30-40 research projects per annum, working with over 50 external organisations. This role will lead the ARDC team which sits within the CIDS and will report to the Institute Director and the ARDC Expertise Team Manager. You will provide subject matter expertise to support programs of work for and across the ARDC’s Strategic Pillars and support the ARDC’s Research Software Agenda for Australia working with researchers and partners to promote software as a first-class research output, enhancing its visibility, value and use in Australian research. Responsibilities will include: Providing expertise, support, and liaison activities to a portfolio of programs and services in the area of Research Software to support the ARDC in achieving strategic objectives. Lead the ARDC Software Program, developing and reviewing policies, strategies and new initiatives, ensuring the successful implementation of program goals within assigned budget and resource allocations.
