Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated IT leader to manage a critical in-flight migration of our large clinical information system (CIS) to new hardware. This role will also involve implementing a new backup and recovery solution to ensure data integrity and uptime. As the Program Manager, you will oversee a team of 7 and collaborate closely with key vendors to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive program plan for the in-flight migration of the CIS to new hardware, minimizing downtime and disruption to clinical operations.
• Manage a team of 7 (BA, PM, Application SME, Solutions Architect) professionals throughout the migration process, ensuring clear communication, task delegation, and problem-solving.
• Lead the collaboration with vendors to define requirements for the new hardware and backup & recovery solution, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
• Oversee the implementation and testing of the new application/ hardware and backup & recovery solution, identifying and resolving any issues.
• Develop and implement comprehensive documentation for the migration process and new systems.
• Monitor system performance and address any post-migration challenges to ensure a seamless transition.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in IT, preferably within a the health care industry, hospital or clinical setting.
• Proven experience managing complex IT programs, particularly involving system migrations.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical information systems and their integration with hospital infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of hardware migration best practices and procedures (ideal).
• Experience with implementing and managing backup and recovery solutions (ideal).
• Experience working within the WA Health system (ideal).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Competitive salary of $165,000- $175,000 + superannuation
