The Role
Reporting to CapitalProgram Director and based in Windsor, the purpose of this position is to drivethe delivery of Council's Infrastructure Recovery program funded underGovernment's Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements program to restorecommunity infrastructure damaged by the recent natural disasters in the region.The position provides leadership and guidance to the Infrastructure RecoveryTeam, with the support of the Capital Program Director, and takesresponsibility for the internal and external reporting on the delivery of theprogram.
Theposition collaborates with other Teams and Branches within Council, to achieveCouncil's purpose of building a Hawkesbury that is loved by its people.
About You
You will havecompleted your tertiary studies in Project Management, Engineering,Construction or other relevant technical discipline, or demonstrated equivalentcompetencies gained through experience. You will have strong demonstratedexperience and comprehensive understanding of relevant Project Management andContract Management practices and principles and system implementation.
You will have theability to communicate, engage and maintain relationships with internal andexternal stakeholders. Have the ability to lead a team which will achieveCouncil's purpose of building a Hawkesbury that is loved by its people.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management,Engineering, Construction, or relevant technical discipline, or demonstratedequivalent competencies gained through experience.
- Demonstrated experience and comprehensiveunderstanding of relevant Project Management and Contract Management practicesand principles and system implementation.
- Extensive financial management experience i.e.,budget controls, estimations, resource planning and project management.
- 10+ Years experience delivering Capital Works andInfrastructure projects above $5 m.
- A strong background in building, managing andleading high performing teams with a focus on customer service and continuousimprovement.
- A demonstrated ability to build productiverelationships with key stakeholders, communicate effectively in a range ofsettings and work constructively with staff at all levels across theorganisation.
- Class C Drivers Licence
- WorkCover WHS General Induction for ConstructionWork in NSW (White Card)
