This role: This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 12 months with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Position Profile: The Program Manager operates within the Information and System Performance Directorate and is primarily responsible for facilitating WA Department of Health participation in the co-design and establishment of a people-centred, integrated national healthcare data sharing resource, comprising linked data from all Australian governments and Primary Health Networks, leveraging upon existing local and national data sharing and linkage infrastructure models and initiatives.
The Program Manager undertakes a lead role in planning, initiating, developing, evaluating and managing a portfolio of strategic activities and projects to achieve delivery outcomes and support achievement of organisational and broader government objectives; and provides expert strategic advice to the Director and Senior Executives regarding current, evolving or emerging issues to facilitate executive decision-making across a number of relevant domains.
In addition to representing the Department of Health in a cross-jurisdictional national project team, the Program Manager leads and manages WA jurisdictional stakeholder advisory groups, representing WA throughout the project and advocating for project outputs that best represent the needs of WA. Stakeholders will include, but need not be limited to WA Data Custodians, key personnel at the state hospital system, Primary Health Network interface, General Practitioners and health consumers.
