  • A rewarding part time (0.9FTE, equiv. 9 days per fortnight) ongoing opportunity
  • Lead and support the success of the PARC program and team members, including 2 team leaders
  • $53.07 per hour + superannuation + salary packaging benefits + leave loading

About the opportunity

Narre Warren PARCs consist of Adult and Extended PARC and are step up, step down residences that provide a blended approach of clinical and psychosocial support to participants, to prevent the need for hospitalisation or after an inpatient stay to support ongoing recovery. These PARCs provide an essential service within the continuum of care that will empower and provide opportunity to community members to seek mental health care and treatment that they may not receive otherwise. Our multidisciplinary recovery teams are values led, creative, motivated and focused on ensuring positive experiences for participants and their loved ones.

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the PARC Programs, provide support to 2 team leaders and team and has responsibility for people management and leadership, including recruitment, staff induction and managing the ongoing development and performance of the PARC team. You will also be responsible for:

  • Service delivery performance and oversight  
    • Ensuring the program is working in line with Wellways’ values, practice principles and clinical framework  
    • Identifying opportunities for quality improvement and enhanced experience of service 
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clinical partners 
  • Manage day to day operations of the service

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Qualification in mental health, AOD, social science or related discipline and at least 4+ years in a mental health, community or AOD setting
  • At least two years’ experience in leading teams and managing programs
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in working within programs for people with mental health challenges 
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to support effective programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop reports and participate in public speaking and formal presentations 
  • An understanding of the biopsychosocial model of mental health and how social inclusion principles are applied to service delivery 
  • Ability to establish effective partnerships including liaison, mediation, negotiation and consultation 

Employment requirements:

  • Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Right to Work within Australia
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate ​
