The role provides technical and scientific advice on surface and ground water resources, water dependent ecosystems and oversees the delivery of programs and projects of these resources in the Eyre Peninsula landscape region of South Australia.

Success in this role will require expert technical and scientific understanding of a range of water-related issues, including water allocation, stormwater management, and water-affecting activities.

It's a role that offers abundant autonomy, variety, and challenge, while providing opportunity for the successful candidates to flex their full range of skills. The role is based in Port Lincoln in modern, well-equipped offices and in a workplace that embraces flexible conditions, including work from home arrangements.

Additionally, the region boasts wonderfully rugged coastlines, plentiful seafood, sandy beaches, spectacular national parks and abundant wildlife, all of which contributes to making our community a very special place to live and work.

About You

You are committed to environmental sustainability and have a sharp sense of the complexity of water management. You will be happy to share your knowledge and experience and in turn, be willing to learn from a range of local stakeholders. You enjoy the challenge of managing multiple projects and want to make an impact on the sustainable management of water resources and water dependent ecosystems across the region.

You will bring strong project management skills, the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships, and a collaborative approach. You enjoy exercising your stakeholder engagement skills, along with your technical and scientific nous, and you are keen to join an employer who supports your learning and growth.

You will relish working with a wide range of stakeholders, be happy to embrace the opportunities that come with change, and enjoy being part of a professional team who are committed to the sustainable management of our precious landscapes – soil, water, pest plants and animals, and biodiversity.
