Senior Town Planner
Position Overview:
We are a small, family-run business seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Town Planner to join our close-knit team. With over 5 years of statutory planning experience in Queensland, you will lead our town planning department and drive its growth. This role involves handling both existing and new planning applications, ensuring exceptional client service, and delivering projects of varying scales. Key Responsibilities:
- Department Leadership: Oversee and manage the town planning department.
- Development Advice: Provide expert guidance on development assessments.
- Client Relations: Maintain and develop relationships with both existing and new clients.
- Application Management: Prepare, lodge, and oversee town planning applications.
- Project Coordination: Manage and deliver a variety of small to medium-sized projects.
- Department Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to grow the town planning department.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Legislative Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Planning Act 2016 and other relevant legislation.
- Educational Qualifications: Degree in Urban & Regional Planning or a related field, recognized by the Planning Institute of Australia.
- Driver’s License: Open "C" class driver’s license required.
- Residency Status: Must be an Australian citizen, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand citizen.
